Sweet Saturday

Exercise

I started my morning with a lazy step. I pushed myself to workout and completed #theworkout in great spirits. Like always, once I am done with the sucker I'm happy. I worked on my arms, legs, and abs. The coach was focused and so were we.

Weight Watchers

I went to my first weight watchers meeting in months. I was hesitant because the gain I claimed and owned on social media wasn't on record with weight watchers. Yes, it is recorded in pics, on the diet bet, in social media but something about weight watchers makes it, oh so "official".

Mindset

My immediate stories and "sadness" kicked in but the topic for the meeting was on point. It was about Vision. Then I thought about all the people who encourage me through this journey. The details I share with readers and my ultimate mission. There is no time for a pity party here. Just keep going I say.

Breakfast

After the meeting I made sure to keep my mind positive and not give in to cravings of hash browns, ham steaks and pancakes. I was already going to work so I figured I'll get my veggie omelet with avocado and the beans for the local cafe. It always hits the spot. I also ordered some mangos for this sweet sweet Saturday.

Vision

Keep it clear and sunny because life is beautiful.

Namaste.

Sweet Saturday

Being able to claim I gained weight back and declaring I am not afraid made all the difference this week. There were also various factors that came into play.

1. #theworkout intensive requires a weekly check-in. I am honest and openly share my struggles.

2. Seeing a picture of me at 238 pounds last year and 238 pounds this year was encouraging. I focus on my triumphs and not my failures.

3.  The last cementing factor. I witnessed a horrible accident on Monday morning. It was a truck pulling out of a driveway. He took a risk and took a turn out. His slow movement makes me believe he doubted the move. He clipped a car that spun out and almost hit me. He cut a corner and came out loosing. My point: you can't cut corners.

So this week I kept track. I stuck to tracking and the outcome was a 5.4 loss.

Yay! Here's to staying strong!

Trying something new. Recipe Tuesday

Grilled Salmon. Quinoa with Leeks and Mushrooms. Green Salad.

Weight Watchers Weekly , April 13-19, 2014.Property of Weight Watchers.

everyone said, "It's DELICIOUS!"

I had to try this recipe because everyone kept on raving about it at the Weight Watchers meeting on Saturday. They all made it sound DELICIOUS. My husband agreed. I will add some lemon grind, a spice and cook the veggies for less time next time. Don't get me wrong, it was indeed Yummy!

The Salmon was seasoned with salt, pepper and lemon. Grilled on each side for about 4 minutes. The green salad was a simple red leaf lettuce and roman lettuce blend with tomato. All easy and ready for the table in 20 min. (everything cooked about 5 min faster than directions).

Hope you try it and give reviews.

To trying something new!
